"The curious paradox is that when I accept myself as I am then I can change. People are just as wonderful as sunsets if you let them be. When I look at the sunset I don't find myself saying, 'Soften the orange a bit on the right hand corner'...I watch in awe as it unfolds."
-Carl Rogers, A Way of Being (1961)
Whatever internal or external conflict and motivation has led you here, I honor and hold with great respect the courage it took to take this step towards healing and growth.
I believe that change and healing begins with compassionate acceptance of who we are and the challenges that life has set before us - not the avoidance of pain. My hope for my clients is for our work to address painful experiences (be it physical, emotional, psychological, or racial) as a path towards building lives that are inspired, joyful, and aligned with their true selves.
With this aim, my practice focuses on providing evidence-based treatment, psychoeducation, and consultation to heal the mind, body, and spirit, as well as, improve interpersonal relationships. Additionally, I am especially passionate about providing Asian Americans and other people of color paths to healing and growth that are centered around their lived experiences.
